What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site recognize returning visitors and understand how people use the site. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Others are used for analytics.
How we use cookies
GoACPros uses cookies for analytics only. All analytics tools on this site are managed through Google Tag Manager (GTM). GTM is a tag management system that controls when and how analytics scripts load. It doesn’t set its own cookies for tracking purposes, but it manages the tools that do.
Through GTM, we run:
- Google Analytics (GA4): traffic data, visitor counts, page views, session duration, acquisition sources (how you found us), and general engagement metrics. IP anonymization is enabled.
- Microsoft Clarity: session recordings (anonymous replays of mouse movements, clicks, and scrolls), heatmaps, and scroll depth analysis.
- Google Search Console verification: confirms site ownership for search performance data. No visitor-facing cookies.
None of these tools are used for advertising, retargeting, personalization, or tracking you across other websites.
If we add Google Ads in the future (conversion tracking, remarketing), this page and the consent banner will be updated to disclose those tags before they fire. As of the date above, GoACPros does not run paid advertising tags.
Your consent
When you first visit this site, a banner asks whether you accept or decline cookies. If you accept, Clarity analytics cookies are activated. If you decline, they are not. The site works the same either way. Your choice is stored in your browser so the banner doesn’t appear again.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

What we DON’T use
GoACPros does not use:
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any ad network)
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies (no ads follow you after visiting this site)
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Cross-site tracking (we don’t track you across other websites)
- Fingerprinting (we don’t use device fingerprinting techniques)
- Third-party data brokers
Third-party cookies
All third-party analytics on this site are managed through Google Tag Manager (GTM). GTM is the container. The tools it manages set the cookies listed above. Blocking GTM (by declining cookies) blocks everything it manages.

Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google’s servers. Google may log your IP address when your browser requests the font files. Google states this data is not combined with other Google services or used for advertising. No cookies are set by Google Fonts.
Google Search Console: Used by GoACPros to monitor search performance. Search Console does not set cookies on visitor browsers. It only provides data to the site owner about how the site appears in Google search results.
How to control cookies
On this site
Use the cookie consent banner when you first visit. If you previously accepted and want to change your mind, clear your browser’s site data for goacpros.com. The banner will reappear on your next visit.
In your browser
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Here’s where to find the settings:

Blocking cookies doesn’t affect this site’s functionality. You can still read all content, use the AC issue checker, and call a contractor.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
GoACPros honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics cookies. Clarity will not fire.
EU visitors
GoACPros is a US-based service connecting homeowners with US contractors. We don’t target EU residents. However, if you visit this site from the EU, the cookie consent banner applies to you. Non-essential cookies will not fire unless you explicitly accept them, consistent with GDPR and ePrivacy Directive requirements.
Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how existing ones work, we’ll update this page and reset the consent banner so you can make a new choice.
