The short version: GoACPros uses a small amount of browser storage to remember your choices. If you choose yes in the cookie banner, Google Analytics also uses optional cookies to help us understand what people find useful. If you choose no, analytics stay off and the site still works.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site recognize returning visitors and understand how people use the site. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function. Others are used for analytics.
How we use cookies and similar tools
GoACPros uses first-party browser storage to remember your choices.
If you choose yes in the cookie banner, Google Tag Manager can load Google Analytics (GA4). GA4 helps us understand traffic, page use, acquisition sources, and general engagement.
If you choose no, optional analytics stay off.
Google Search Console is also used by GoACPros to understand search performance. Search Console does not set visitor-facing cookies through this site.
GoACPros does not currently use analytics for advertising, retargeting, or tracking you across other websites.
Your consent
When you first visit GoACPros, you can say yes or no to optional analytics. If you choose yes, Google Analytics can load. If you choose no, analytics stay off. The site works either way. Your choice is stored in your browser so we can remember it.
You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser’s local storage for this site, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

What we DON’T use
GoACPros does not use:
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any ad network)
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies (no ads follow you after visiting this site)
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Cross-site tracking (we don’t track you across other websites)

Third-party cookies
All third-party analytics on this site are managed through Google Tag Manager (GTM). GTM is the container. The tools it manages set the cookies listed above. Choosing no keeps GTM-managed optional analytics from loading.
The analytics providers used on this site are:
- Google Tag Manager: tag management container. Controls when analytics scripts load. Google Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics (GA4): traffic analytics, visitor counts, acquisition sources. IP anonymization enabled. Not connected to Google Ads for remarketing. GA4 Data Privacy
Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google’s servers. Google may log your IP address when your browser requests the font files. Google states this data is not combined with other Google services or used for advertising. No cookies are set by Google Fonts.
Google Search Console: Used by GoACPros to monitor search performance. Search Console does not set cookies on visitor browsers. It only provides data to the site owner about how the site appears in Google search results.
How to control cookies
On this site
Use the cookie consent banner when you first visit. If you previously allowed analytics and want to change your mind, clear your browser’s site data for goacpros.com. The banner will reappear on your next visit.
In your browser
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Here’s where to find the settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
Blocking cookies doesn’t affect this site’s functionality. You can still read all content, use the AC issue checker, and call a contractor.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
GoACPros honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a choice to keep optional analytics off.
EU visitors
GoACPros is a US-based service connecting homeowners with US contractors. We don’t target EU residents. However, if you visit this site from the EU, the cookie consent banner applies to you. Optional analytics will not load unless you choose yes.
Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how existing ones work, we’ll update this page and reset the consent banner so you can make a new choice.
